·

        1.  Describe your film poster idea and any changes made to the development of your                idea/why?

     2.  Target Audience (Age, Gender, Interests)

     3.  Justify how you will appeal to your audience in relation to the poster and platform      (Consider stylistic and technical codes e.g. colours, camera shots, fonts, effects, layout

     4.  Decide on two publishing platforms where your poster would be available. These could be; print e.g. newspaper, magazine, Internet e.g. website, online, handheld devices etc.

Poster Development

Now that you have completed your initial research and considered your ideas for the film poster you will create, get some feedback to ensure your idea will be successful.

1.  Each person will need to share their film idea.  The group will need to listen carefully and provide feedback.   Questions to consider-

  • Is the genre clear?  Can you correctly guess the genre?
  • Is the storyline clear? Does it make sense?
  • Could it be improved?
  • Do you agree with the intended audience?

2.  Once each person has explained their idea and received feedback, write a brief blog post summarising your response to the feedback outlining:

  • Any changes you will make due to the feedback received
  • What you learned from your poster research

3.  You will need to construct an inspiration board that should include evidence of the following:

  • Images
  • Prop/costume list/examples
  • Camera Shot list/examples of camera shots/angles
  • Examples of Posters with appropriate style/layout
  • Examples of potential colours for images/background/fonts
  • Examples of possible font types for poster

HOMEWORK:
Having completed your inspiration board, you will use this to help develop your ideas by creating a hand-drawn draft of your poster.  Due by your next Media Lesson.
